Kylie Minogue Scoops Top Music Prize 10/30/07
Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue has been named the most
"glamorous" winner of a prestigious British music prize.
The 39-year-old singer has scooped the 2007 Music Industry Trust award for her 20-year contribution to the industry and will be honored the prize at a lavish London ceremony on Monday (29Oct07). She says, "It is an incredible honor, I am truly thrilled to be recognized in this way." A spokesman for the awards adds, "There is no doubt that of our 15 award recipients to date, Kylie is by far the most glamorous.... inspiring millions with her grace, dignity and humanity." Previous winners include Sit Elton John and Peter Gabriel.
