Actress Jane Seymour has been saved from getting the axe from Dancing With the Stars - she has fallen ill with food poisoning.

The British star was due to face the public vote on the hit U.S. TV contest on Tuesday (30Oct07), after she and partner Tony Dovolani came bottom of the table on Monday night (29Oct07), scoring a poor 22 out of 30.

But the 56-year-old was forced to pull out of the rest of the week's shows early on Tuesday following the illness - therefore saving her from being voted off the program.

The former Bond girl is expected to return to the competition next week, reports TMZ.

This is the latest blow for Seymour during her stint on the reality TV show - she lost her mother in September (07) and then had to evacuate her Malibu, California home for four days due to last week's (26Oct07) wildfires.
