James Back-Doored Out of the Big Brother House 9/2/05

James Rhine
Is the 9th Person Evicted From the "Big Brother 6" House
LOS ANGELES -- It's been 60 days in the BIG BROTHER 6 house and the
resident shape-shifter and "Veto King" has finally met his
demise. James Rhine, the 29-year-old Loss Prevention Manager from Atlanta,
Ga., was evicted last night from the Big Brother house and will join
fellow evictees Jennifer and Rachel on the Big Brother jury. James was
evicted from the house by a unanimous vote.
Immediately following his eviction, James was interviewed by host Julie
Chen about his controversial experience in the house.
With the "Sovereign" alliance (Howie and Janelle) all but
dismantled and cracks starting to widen within the "Friendship"
alliance (Maggie, April, Ivette and Beau), the enemy within was starting
to emerge and the houseguests began to strategize over what to do with
James.
Following April's victory in the Head of Household competition last
Thursday, she nominated Janelle and Howie for eviction and set the plan in
motion to backdoor James. April then went on to win the Power of Veto.
Although James made modest attempts to remain in the game, the houseguests
started to see through his sneaky tactics, and after a week of
anticipation, April made good on her promise by taking Janelle off the
block and replacing her with James, ensuring the end of the road for
James.
After the eviction, the houseguests competed in a competition called
"Playing It Straight" to see who would become the next Head of
Household. Howie, the 34-year-old meteorology student, originally from
Chicago, Ill. and currently living in Boca Raton, Fla., won the coveted
position.
Following the HOH competition, Julie announced that it is a double
eviction week and Howie immediately nominated Ivette and Beau. The second
eviction of the week will be broadcast on Saturday, September 3 (8:00-9:00
PM, ET/PT) and that person will be become the fourth member of the BIG
BROTHER 6 jury.
Only one pair remains in the house (Ivette and Beau). In order to win
the biggest cash prize in Big Brother history, it is up to them to keep
their pairing intact and end up the last two people in the house. The
final winner will collect $1,000,000 and the second place finisher will
win $250,000. If the twosome does not make it to the final two, the winner
will receive $500,000.
For more information about the aftermath of James' eviction log on to
www.cbs.com and watch him live on "Housecalls: The Big Brother Talk
Show" with Marcellas and Gretchen on Friday (1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT).
BIG BROTHER 6 is broadcast each week on Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM,
ET/PT), Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) and Saturdays
(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The Thursday broadcast, hosted by Julie Chen,
features the live eviction of one of the houseguests.
