"LOST" FANS
Exclusive ABC Advertisement to Run in EW's September 19 Issue
ABC Television will run an exclusive advertising insert in
Entertainment Weekly Magazine's September 16 issue, consisting of
specially designed LOST trading cards. Created with the help of the hit
show's writers, the cards will provide a host of data about each of the
show's 15 characters, both on the island and before the crash, as well as
information about Flight 815; the mysterious hatch; and other elements
that are critical to the series.
The 27 cards will be available exclusively inside Entertainment
Weekly's September 16 edition to subscribers and newsstand buyers alike.
Each copy of the issue will include one of three existing sheets (with
nine cards per page). The issue will be available on newsstands beginning
September 12.
"'Lost' has a tremendous fan following, and this is just one more
opportunity to meet the needs of all those fans," said Mike Benson,
Sr. VP Marketing, ABC Entertainment. "Also, for anyone who might have
missed some episodes, we hope they will find the cards entertaining and
provocative enough to start watching at the beginning of this season and
to sample the 'Lost' website."
"We are delighted to bring these unique LOST trading cards to our
readers," said Tom Morrissy, Publisher of Entertainment Weekly.
"They are sure to be valued by our readers who share a passion for
television."
