Billy Boyd: "I am Not a Lord of the Bling"  9/19/05

Actor Billy Boyd is frustrated people assume he is rich after starring in The Lord of the Rings trilogy - because he didn't get paid much for the films. 

The Scottish star - who played hobbit Pippin in the fantasy films - picked up a far smaller pay packet than his friends and family suspected. 

He explains, "I saw an article calling us 'Lords of the Bling,' but we never made anything like that kinda money. "What happens is you kinda feel obliged to pick up the bill when you're with people. There are probably distant family thinking I'm loaded like Brad Pitt!."
