Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony to Donate to Katrina Kids  9/19/05

Husband-and-wife singing duo Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have appealed to fans to help young victims of Hurricane Katrina by donating money to a children's charity.

The pair have pledged a substantial sum to the Children's Health Fund's Operation Assist - and they want others to follow suit.

Lopez tells US TV show Entertainment Tonight, "The truth is, the people who are going to be affected the most are frail, are children, are the elderly and

(with) this organization, the money goes directly to health care and helping these people and getting them well.

"They suffer psychological trauma as well, there's so many things. This is a great, great charity if you're looking for something to donate to."

The Children's Health Fund's Operation Assist is sending mobile health care units to help victims throughout the Mexican Gulf region affected by last month's (AUG05) natural disaster.
