Catherine Zeta Jones in Mostly Martha Remake  9/22/05

Catherine Zeta Jones has signed to star in a Hollywood remake of hit German movie Mostly Martha.

The Oscar-winning actress will play a lonely chef whose life changes dramatically when her sister dies in an accident and she has to take charge of her equally stubborn eight year old niece.

The original 2001 movie, by German filmmaker Sandra Nettlebeck, was released in 2002 and made $4 million (#2.2 million) at the box-office.

The new movie will be directed by Scott Hicks - production is set to begin next January (06).
