A
PASSIONATE AND APPALLED MARTHA STEWART PRESIDES OVER AN EMOTIONAL
CONFERENCE ROOM ON NBC'S "THE APPRENTICE: MARTHA STEWART"
(SEPTEMBER 28, 8-9 PM ET/PT)
"Quitters? Forget it," said Martha Stewart. "If I hear
the word quit from this team once more. This is not the way to
behave...Cry and you're out of here. Women in business don't cry my
dear."
NEW YORK -- September 27, 2005 -– Martha Stewart presides over an
emotional conference room and one candidate gets overwhelmed and attempts
to resign on NBC's "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" (September
28, 8-9 pm ET/PT). "Quitters? Forget it," said Stewart. "If
I hear the word quit from this team once more. This is not the way to
behave...Cry and you're out of here. Women in business don't cry my
dear." Annoyed that someone would consider quitting a job interview
at this early stage, Martha lectures the candidates on their appalling
behavior and encourages them to be resilient even under the most
challenging circumstances.
"This episode really starts to carve out the dramatic
possibilities of the series," said Mark Burnett, executive producer.
"Jim – the biggest, most obnoxious character since Omarosa –
continues to emerge. His outburst in the first five minutes is as scary as
it is entertaining and his skill at manipulation will have an impact on
almost every candidate."
The task for the remaining 15 candidates is quintessential Martha
Stewart. They are charged with creating and designing a retail flower shop
and have one day to market and sell their products. Each team chooses a
remarkably different strategy – only one of which pays off.
"MATCHSTICK" (Creatives): Jim, Dawn, Chuck, Shawn, Bethenny,
Marcela, David
"PRIMARIUS" (Corporate): Howie, Amanda, Carrie, Jennifer,
Leslie, Dawna, Ryan, Sarah
"The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" is produced by Mark Burnett
