ABC.com is Looking for You and Your Juiciest Confessions...
You Could Be the Star of "Confessions of a Desperate
Housewife," A Series of Video Montages to Air on ABC.com and
Wirelessly this Fall
Have you ever considered yourself a desperate housewife? Are you
married to a desperate housewife? Have you ever wanted to share your
desperate confessions with the world? If so, ABC.com wants your juicy
confessions on video tape for a series of new, video montages entitled
"Confessions of a Desperate Housewife," planned to air ABC.com
and distributed wirelessly this Fall.
ABC.com is looking for people who are ready to confess their darkest
housewife secrets. After all, everyone has a little "dirty
laundry." So sit down, turn on your video camera, and give us your
confession in 30 seconds or less to any or all of the six questions that
we've posed online. To view the questions, log on to www.ABC.com and
navigate to the "Desperate Housewives" or go directly to
www.desperatehousewives.com. Once there, click on the link for the
"Confessions of a Desperate Housewife Contest," where you'll
find the six questions to answer and instructions on how to create and
submit your video, plus a release form and rules. If you have a video
camera, or can get your hands on one, making the video is easy. What we
want is you, on video, responding to any or all of these, devoting no more
than 30 seconds to answering any one question, for a combined total
performance not to exceed three minutes. Here are the six questions that
we want to hear your answer to: "My guilty pleasure is...,"
"Here's how far I'll go to keep a secret. I'll...", "When I
want attention, my secret weapon is...", "Once my spouse made me
so angry I evened the score by...," "The one time I snooped
where I shouldn't have, I...," and finally, "When I want to add
a little romance to my marriage, I..." The more honest, unique and
interesting your responses, the more likely your video might be chosen to
be a part of the specially produced "Confessions of a Desperate
Housewives" video montages. This is your chance to be part of the
phenomenon that's sweeping the country. Hurry and get your videos in now,
before time runs out!
All submissions to the "Confessions of a Desperate Housewife"
Video Contest, which is open to legal residents of the 50 United States
and Washington DC, 18 years of age or older, must be turned in to ABC.com
by Monday, October 24 (12:00 Midnight, ET; full rules, release form, and
instructions are posted online at ABC.com). The winning videos for each
question will be edited together to form that installment of the
"Confessions of a Desperate Housewife" video montage. Videos may
appear in their entirety or may be edited to include only a portion of the
originally submitted video. The videos will then air on ABC.com, with one
video montage airing exclusively via wireless.
"Our Confessions of a Desperate Housewife promotion gives fans a
fun and interactive way to share their confessions with the world,"
said Bruce Gersh, senior vice president, ABC Business Development.
"By providing us with their personal video confessions, we can
combine their personal experiences with similar themes from 'Desperate
Housewives' and turn it into original short format programming content to
be distributed online and wirelessly. It's another interesting way for
