My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly and her DJ boyfriend Eric Cubiche are planning their engagement and expecting a baby according to media reports in the US.

The happy couple have been friends for nearly a decade, but only started dating a year ago.

Pressly tells American publication Us Weekly, "We're going this weekend to (Beverly Hills jewelry store) XIV Karats to design my engagement ring. I'm really looking forward to it."

The 29-year-old says of her fiancé, "Eric's been my best friend for nine years. It's one of those things where when you're ready, you're ready. And we are."

Cubiche says, "She laughs at all my jokes. And I just love to sit back and watch her shine. We couldn't be any closer."

Pressly says she would love to be a mother and according to Internet reports the couple are already expecting and recently announced the news to family and friends at a barbecue.

The star insists the couple aren't racing down the aisle adding, "We've been together so long we just aren't in a rush to marry."
