Nick Lachey Prefers Bus Over Plane  9/29/06

Nick Lachey is so scared of flying he decided to hire a luxury tour bus to take him around the US on his 33-city solo tour.

Lachey, who divorced Jessica Simpson earlier this year (06), has made the bus as comfortable as possible with three flat screen TVs, two cream leather couches and a full-sized bed.

He tells American publication People, "This is the first bus where I've had my own bedroom. It's nicer than most apartments I've lived in!"

Lachey says he comes back to the bus after each show and relaxes by having video-game marathons.

He says, "Then I'd go back (to the bedroom), go to sleep, wake up and I'm in the next city. That's the beauty of the bus. It couldn't be any better."

The What's Left of Me singer may be spending even more time on the bus - his tour has already sold out most shows and additional dates have been added to keep up with demand.
