Four Weddings and a Funeral star Hugh Grant was starstruck when he
was cast opposite Andie MacDowell in the 1994 romantic comedy.
The 47-year-old actor, who eventually won a Golden Globe award for his
leading role in the film, was relatively unknown at the time.
He says, "I was quite frightened of her because she was a film
star."
Alongside his awe of his co-star he admits he was scared of MacDowell's
husband at the time, Paul Qualley.
He adds, "I was terrified of her husband, he was one of those
pathologically jealous show business husbands. You'd be helping yourself
at the same salad bowl and he would never ever say 'hello'. He was really
scary."
MacDowell and Qualley divorced in 1999.
