Teenage star Daniel Radcliffe felt like an adult for the first time on the
set of his new film December Boys - because the cast was so young.
The Harry Potter
star, 18, was the oldest of four actors playing orphans in the film, which
finished shooting in Australia earlier this year (07).
He explains, "I was the oldest and I did feel a certain paternal
instinct. I wanted to protect them.
"There were times when it was the end of the day and I was really
tired, and they had almost as much energy as they had at one o'clock in
the afternoon.
"And I found myself saying things like, 'Please stop shouting so
loudly in my ear!'"
