Troubled star Lindsay Lohan will face trial over claims she was
intoxicated when she crashed her car in West Hollywood in 2005.
The Mean Girls actress is being sued by motorist Raymundo Ortega who
claims Lohan had been drinking at celebrity hotspot The Ivy before
crashing her Mercedes-Benz in October 2005.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern rejected a motion
that argued the lawsuit lacked legal sufficiency, and ordered the star to
stand trial on 7 April (08).
Ortega's attorney Robert G. Klein said outside court on Tuesday
(11Sep07), "This case is about responsibility and she's not taking
responsibility."
Lohan's attorney, David J. Ozeran, maintains there was no evidence that
Lohan was intoxicated.
