Kiefer Sutherland faces jail if he is convicted of driving under the
influence of alcohol, under California's two strikes system.
The 24 star was on his way home from a Fox network party when he was
pulled over by police on the junction of La Cienega and Beverly at 1.35am
after making an illegal U-turn. A breath test found him to have twice the
legal limit of alcohol in his system, according to reports. Sutherland,
40, was arrested for misdemeanor DUI.
It's the second time Sutherland has been arrested for DUI - he was
caught committing the same offence in California in 2004.
He will appear before a California court on 16 October to answer
charges and, if convicted, faces a mandatory five-day jail sentence.
