Jamie Foxx Gets the Red Carpet Treatment in the Arab Emirates 9/25/07

Actor Jamie Foxx was treated like royalty when he arrived in the United Arab Emirates to film his latest movie The Kingdom - he was even given his own ambulance.

Foxx joined co-stars Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper and Jason Bateman in the capital Abu Dhabi for the Middle Eastern action thriller earlier this year (07).

But the 39-year-old Miami Vice star was the only one to be given the Hollywood treatment usually reserved for top politicians and members of the royal family - including a 25-strong armed guard, a personal food taster and his own team of paramedics, who followed his every move.

Director Peter Berg tells OK! magazine, "They gave him their highest level of protection - what they would offer a visiting president."
