The Police Honored by France  10/1/07 

 

Reformed British rockers The Police will be honored in France next week, in recognition of their lifetime contribution to music.

The trio - Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland - will be inducted into the Order of Arts and Letters on Monday (01Oct07), the culture ministry has announced.

Filmmaker David Lynch will also be awarded at the ceremony, where he will receive the Legion of Honor.
