Mel Gibson Not 'Close' To Singer 9/2/08

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson has quashed speculation about his love life after rumors surfaced suggesting he had "grown close" to a Russian musician.

The star has been linked to singer Oksana by an Australian tabloid - throwing his married life into doubt.

Gibson has been married to his wife Robyn for 28 years and the pair have seven children together.

And the star's representatives were quick to refute the claims of a close relationship between the actor and singer, insisting they are just colleagues.

The star's publicist tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "(Oksana is) one of the artists on Mel's recording label Icon and is currently in the U.S. recording a new album. She's a musician."
