Actress Eva Mendes turns to her Hollywood pals Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz for advice - because she knows she can count on them if they're needed.

The sexy star insists there is little competition between her and her Los Angeles neighbors, revealing Hollywood's leading actresses are a lot closer than the media would have people believe.

Mendes says, "There are a bunch of great solid girls who are also actresses. If I need advice, or if I need support for an event I am doing, I will call up any one of them and they will be there for me - Lucy Liu, for example, or Cameron Diaz."
