Kate Hudson jumped at the chance to star in upcoming movie My Best Friend's Girl - because she relished playing a sexually aggressive woman.

The actress plays a lawyer in the film, which features strong language and sexual content.

And Hudson - famed for her romantic comedy roles - ensured she made the most of the explicit script and adult scenes.

She says, "I finally got to swear and say and do certain things that most people say to each other in normal, everyday life.

"I got a little taste of what those Sex and the City girls were up to for so long, which was fun."
