About Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise was born July 3, 1962 in Syracuse, New York as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV. A high school dropout Tom went to New York to start an acting career. His film debut was a small role in 1981 in a film, Endless Love. His breakout role in 1983 was in Risky Business and followed this up with a series of huge hits like Top Gun, Rain Man and Days of Thunder. Tom was married to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. He is married to Katie Holmes. Formerly a Catholic, he is now a Scientologist. Tom appeared in the 2004 film, Collateral and 2005 film War of the Worlds. In 2006 he appeared in Mission Impossible 3.
